4. Hi Nuwan,

   HyperGet is no longer a C/GTK project. What I meant by that was that it would be coded in C (a programming language) using the GTK toolkit. Now, however, we have decided to code it in Java, because that will allow us to use it on many OSs without having to code different versions for different platforms. So, to participate in the project, all you would have to do is learn Java. Let me know if you’re interested

   I’m absolute beginner in ubuntu Linux Programme. I’ve just installed it in server mode.

   How I’d be able to start / configure GNOME? What’d be the command line / parameters in order to access GNOME GUI?

6. Hi Max,

   Assuming you’ve chosen to install X when installing the server (I’m not sure if it does by default), then try running the following command: startx

   That should take you to your default window manager. If this doesn’t help, please post on LinuxQuestions.org - they have a great community and you will not be without others in a similar situation
